Niagara River

The Niagara River flows about 58 km north from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario, forming part of the border between the United States and Canada. Midway along its course it drops over Niagara Falls. Its banks were home to the Neutral Confederacy before about 1650 and later became a frontier contested in the colonial wars and the War of 1812.
