Ninlil
Ninlil was a Sumerian goddess, the wife of Enlil and mother of the moon god Nanna. Worshipped beside Enlil at Nippur, she was identified with Sud, the patron goddess of Shuruppak. A Sumerian myth tells how Enlil was banished to the underworld for seizing her and how she followed him there. The Assyrians later identified her with the wife of Ashur.
