Nanna
Nanna was the Sumerian moon god, known in Akkadian as Sin, whose principal temple stood at the city of Ur. Sargon of Akkad appointed his daughter Enheduanna as high priestess of Nanna at Ur. This appointment bound religious authority to dynastic control and helped integrate Sumer into the Akkadian Empire.
