Nogent-le-Rotrou

Nogent-le-Rotrou is a town in the Eure-et-Loir department on the Huisne, in the Perche region of north-western France. It takes its name from the Rotrou counts of Perche, whose castle of Saint-Jean overlooks the town. In the 17th century it was bought by Maximilien de Béthune, Duke of Sully, Henry IV's minister, who is buried there.
