Noviomagus Reginorum

Noviomagus Reginorum was the Roman town at Chichester in West Sussex, capital of the civitas of the Regni. It grew up after the conquest of 43, probably under the client king Togidubnus, and had a forum, baths, an amphitheatre and later stone walls. The street plan of modern Chichester still follows its main roads.
