Nunca Más

1984 · 20th century

Nunca Más ('Never Again') is the report of Argentina's National Commission on the Disappearance of Persons, CONADEP, chaired by the writer Ernesto Sabato and delivered to President Raúl Alfonsín in September 1984. It documented nearly 9,000 disappearances and hundreds of secret detention centres under the military dictatorship, and its evidence was used in the Trial of the Juntas in 1985.
