Onojie
Onojie, plural Enijie, is the title of the hereditary traditional rulers of the Esan chiefdoms in Edo State, Nigeria. Tradition traces many Enijie to princes and nobles from the Kingdom of Benin, and they owed allegiance to the Oba of Benin while governing their own chiefdoms with chiefs and age grades. Each chiefdom, such as Uromi or Ekpoma, still has its Onojie.
