Palazzo dei Priori, Volterra

1208–1257 · 13th century

The Palazzo dei Priori is the town hall of Volterra in Tuscany, built from 1208 to 1257 and considered the oldest surviving town hall in Tuscany. Its stone façade, decorated with the coats of arms of Florentine governors, served as a model for the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. It is still the seat of the town council.
