Paradiso (Dante)

Paradiso is the third and final part of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, completed shortly before his death in 1321. Guided by Beatrice, Dante ascends through the heavenly spheres to the vision of God. In a letter traditionally attributed to him, Dante dedicated it to Cangrande I della Scala, lord of Verona, who had sheltered him in exile.
