Parliament of Southern Ireland
The Parliament of Southern Ireland was the home-rule legislature created for the 26 counties of Southern Ireland by the Government of Ireland Act 1920. Sinn Féin won 124 of the 128 seats in its House of Commons unopposed in May 1921 but sat instead as the Second Dáil, so only the four members for Dublin University and the appointed senators attended. It met only twice before giving way to the Irish Free State.
