Piyusti

18th century BCE · 18th century BCE

Piyusti was a king of Hatti in central Anatolia in the 18th century BCE, ruling from Hattusa. He is known from the inscription of Anitta of Kussara, which records that Anitta defeated him, took Hattusa by night, destroyed it and sowed it with weeds, cursing any king who resettled it. Hattusa was later rebuilt as the Hittite capital.
