Arinna

Arinna was a Hittite holy city in central Anatolia, a short distance from the capital Hattusa, whose exact site has not been identified. It was the cult centre of the sun goddess of Arinna, the chief goddess of the Hittite state and patron of its kings, a deity inherited from the earlier Hattians. Hittite queens served as her high priestesses.
