Piye

Also known as Piankhi

Piye, also known as Piankhi, was a king of Kush in the eighth century BCE and successor of Kashta. He campaigned northwards into Egypt, overcoming its fragmented local rulers and asserting Kushite authority. His conquest began the period in which the Kushite Empire ruled Egypt as its Twenty-fifth Dynasty.
