Qakare Ibi

c. 22nd century BCE · 22nd century BCE · Also known as Ibi

Qakare Ibi was a king of Egypt's Eighth Dynasty in the First Intermediate Period, known from the Abydos king list. His small pyramid at South Saqqara, the only identified royal pyramid of that dynasty, is inscribed with Pyramid Texts, showing that Old Kingdom royal traditions continued even as the monarchy weakened.
