Rakai Pikatan
Rakai Pikatan was a 9th-century king of Medang in Central Java, of the Sanjaya line. His marriage to Pramodhawardhani, daughter of the Sailendra king Samaratungga, joined the two royal houses, and the Sailendras lost their hold on Central Java. The Shaivite temple complex of Prambanan was consecrated in 856, around the end of his reign.
