Riyadh Agreement
The Riyadh Agreement was signed on 5 November 2019 between the internationally recognised Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council under Saudi mediation, after the council's forces had seized Aden in August. It provided for a power-sharing government and the integration of southern forces into the army and police. Implementation was slow and incomplete, and tensions between the two sides continued.
