Yemeni civil war (2014–present)
The Yemeni civil war began in 2014 when the Houthi movement seized Sanaa and then forced President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi from power. In 2015 a coalition led by Saudi Arabia intervened in support of the government. The war split the country among the Houthis, the government and southern separatists and caused one of the worst humanitarian crises of the century.
