RTL Group
RTL Group is a Luxembourg-based media company and one of Europe's largest broadcasters. It descends from the Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Radiodiffusion, founded in 1931, which ran Radio Luxembourg, and from the 1950s it built television stations under the RTL name in Luxembourg, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and elsewhere. It took its present form in 2000 after mergers with Bertelsmann's UFA and Pearson's television business.
