Santo Niño de Cebú
The Santo Niño de Cebú is a small wooden statue of the Christ Child given by Ferdinand Magellan's expedition to the wife of Rajah Humabon of Cebu at her baptism in 1521. Found intact in a burned house by Spanish soldiers under Legazpi in 1565, it is the oldest Christian image in the Philippines and is kept in the Basilica del Santo Niño in Cebu City, focus of the yearly Sinulog festival.
