Sena Gallica
Sena Gallica, modern Senigallia, is a town on the Adriatic coast of Italy, in the Marche. It was the main centre of the Gallic Senones, who settled the area after sacking Rome around 390 BCE. After defeating the Senones, Rome founded a colony there in the 280s BCE, one of its first on the Adriatic, and the region became the ager Gallicus.
