Shah Mosque
The Shah Mosque, also known as the Imam Mosque, is a great congregational mosque on the Naqsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan, built under Shah Abbas I in the early seventeenth century. It is famous for its tile decoration and monumental domes. Accounts of the Safavid Empire cite it as part of Isfahan's architectural ensemble, one of the supreme achievements of Safavid art.
