Somanathapura is a village in Mysuru district, Karnataka, India, on the Kaveri river. It is known for the Keshava temple, built in 1268 by Somanatha, a commander of the Hoysala king Narasimha III. With three shrines on a star-shaped platform, the temple is among the best-preserved examples of Hoysala architecture.
