Sutta Nipata
The Sutta Nipata is a collection of Buddhist discourses in verse and prose in the Khuddaka Nikaya of the Pali Canon. Parts of it, such as the Atthakavagga and Parayanavagga, are widely regarded as among the oldest Buddhist texts. The Parayanavagga opens with the story of the Brahmin Bavari, whose pupils travelled from the Godavari to question the Buddha, a passage often cited for early trade routes in India.
