Tagaloa
Tagaloa, also Tangaloa, is the supreme creator god of Samoan and Tongan tradition, cognate with Tangaroa elsewhere in Polynesia. In Samoan myth he created the islands from rocks in the ocean and peopled them, and the title of Tuʻi Manuʻa was said to descend from him. Chiefly families across Samoa traced their lineages to him.
