Tanjung Palas is a town on the Kayan River in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan, Indonesia, across the river from Tanjung Selor, the provincial capital. It was the seat of the sultans of Bulungan from the 18th century until the sultanate was abolished in the 1960s. Its royal mosque and palace museum preserve the memory of the sultanate.
