Temwen Island

Temwen Island is a small island off the eastern coast of Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia. On the reef beside it lies Nan Madol, a complex of nearly a hundred artificial islets built of basalt columns and coral, which served as the ceremonial and political centre of the Saudeleur dynasty. Nan Madol was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016.
