Temryuk Idarov
Temryuk Idarov was the leading prince of Kabarda in the mid-sixteenth century. Facing the Crimean Khanate and rival princes, he sought an alliance with Muscovy, sending envoys to Ivan IV in 1557, and in 1561 his daughter Maria married the tsar.
