Theresienstadt Ghetto
The Theresienstadt Ghetto was a Nazi ghetto and concentration camp in the fortress town of Terezín in northern Bohemia, in use from November 1941 to May 1945. Presented in propaganda as a model Jewish settlement, it held about 140,000 Jews, mainly from Bohemia, Moravia, Germany and Austria. Over 30,000 died there, and most of the others were deported to Auschwitz and other killing centres.
