Togo
Togo is a country in West Africa on the Gulf of Guinea. As Togoland it was a German colony from the 1880s until the First World War, when it was occupied by British and French forces. Accounts of the German Empire list it among the modest German colonial possessions stripped by the Treaty of Versailles and redistributed as League of Nations mandates.
