Túcume

Túcume is an archaeological complex in the Lambayeque valley of northern Peru, with 26 large adobe pyramids around a rocky hill. Built from around 1100 as the Late Sicán centre after Batán Grande was abandoned, it was later occupied by the Chimú and the Incas. Thor Heyerdahl led excavations there between 1988 and 1994.
