Tusheti
Tusheti is a remote mountain region of north-eastern Georgia on the northern slopes of the Greater Caucasus, bordering Chechnya and Dagestan. Its people, the Tush, lived from sheep herding, moving their flocks between summer pastures and the lowlands of Kakheti, and built fortified villages with defensive towers. The Tush served as warriors of the kings of Kakheti.
