Undang
The Undang are the four great territorial chiefs of Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia, ruling the districts of Sungai Ujong, Jelebu, Johol and Rembau. Under the matrilineal adat perpatih customs brought by Minangkabau settlers from Sumatra, they hold the right to choose the state's ruler, the Yang di-Pertuan Besar. The arrangement survives in the state's modern constitution.
