Władysław IV Vasa

Also known as Władysław IV

Władysław IV Vasa was King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1632 to 1648. In his youth he was elected Tsar of Russia after Polish forces occupied Moscow in 1610, though he never ruled there. Accounts of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth describe this episode as a moment of overreach that showed the Commonwealth's offensive reach at its peak.
