Wardha River

The Wardha is a river of central India, rising in the Satpura range in Madhya Pradesh and flowing south-east for about 530 km through Maharashtra, past Ballarpur and Chandrapur, until it joins the Wainganga to form the Pranhita. Its valley formed part of the Gond kingdom of Chanda and is rich in coal.
