Wareham
Wareham is a market town in Dorset, southern England, between the rivers Frome and Piddle. A Saxon settlement with a minster church, it was occupied by the Danish army in 876 and later fortified as one of Alfred the Great's burhs, and its earthen ramparts are among the best preserved in England. King Beorhtric of Wessex was buried there in 802.
