Western Jin dynasty

The Western Jin dynasty was a Chinese dynasty that ruled from 265 to 316 CE, founded by the Sima family, which seized power from the Wei state. It briefly reunified China in 280 CE, ending the Three Kingdoms period. Accounts of the Han Dynasty place it in the aftermath of Han collapse, and it soon fell into civil war and to invasions by northern peoples.
