Where Are You, Dear General?
"Where Are You, Dear General?" was written as the theme song of the 1971 revolutionary opera "A True Daughter of the Party" (Tangŭi ch'amtoen ttal). Its words are attributed to Kim Jong Il, later the country's Supreme Leader; the Korean article describes him as its presumed composer. The opera is set during the Korean War and follows an army nurse, Kang Yeon-ok.
