Worcester
Worcester is a cathedral city on the River Severn in the English West Midlands. A bishopric was founded there around 680 for the Hwicce, and the diocese long preserved the kingdom's outline. Its cathedral holds the tomb of King John, and the Battle of Worcester in 1651, where Cromwell defeated Charles II, ended the English Civil Wars.
