Xibeigang
Xibeigang is the royal cemetery of the late Shang dynasty at Yinxu, on the north bank of the Huan River near Anyang in Henan. Excavated by Academia Sinica in the 1930s and later by Chinese archaeologists, it contains large cross-shaped shaft tombs, generally attributed to Shang kings, and over a thousand pits with sacrificial burials of people and animals.
