Henan
Henan is a province of central China on the middle and lower Yellow River, with Zhengzhou as its capital. Often called the cradle of Chinese civilisation, it holds the Erlitou site, the Shang capitals at Zhengzhou and Anyang, and the old imperial capitals of Luoyang and Kaifeng. Many states of the Zhou period lay within it, and it remains one of China's most populous provinces.
