Yaka people

The Yaka are a Bantu-speaking people of the Kwango valley in the south-west of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and in northern Angola. In the 18th century Lunda warriors conquered them and founded a Yaka kingdom ruled by kings titled kiamfu. They are known in African art for the masks and figures used in the initiation of young men.
