Adour

The Adour is a river of south-western France, about 300 km long, rising in the Pyrenees near the Tourmalet pass and flowing through Bigorre, the Landes and Dax to the Atlantic at Bayonne. In antiquity its valley was home to Aquitanian peoples such as the Bigerriones and Tarbelli, and its mouth gives Bayonne its port.
