Ahluwalia misl
The Ahluwalia misl was one of the twelve Sikh confederacies of 18th-century Punjab, led by Jassa Singh Ahluwalia, who also commanded the Dal Khalsa. It held lands in the Jalandhar Doab and took Kapurthala in the 1770s. Unlike most misls, it survived the rise of Ranjit Singh, and its chiefs ruled the princely state of Kapurthala until 1947.
