Al-Marj
Al-Marj is a town in Cyrenaica, north-eastern Libya, on a fertile upland plain inland from the Mediterranean coast. It stands near the site of the ancient Greek city of Barca and was known as Barce under Italian rule. The old town was destroyed by an earthquake in 1963, and a new town was built nearby.
