Ala al-Dawla Bozkurt

d. 1515 · 16th century · Also known as Alaüddevle Bozkurt Bey

Ala al-Dawla Bozkurt was bey of the Dulkadirids, the Turkmen principality around Elbistan and Maraş, from 1480 to 1515. He balanced between the Ottomans and the Mamluks and fought the Safavids, but after Selim I's victory at Chaldiran he was defeated and killed by the Ottomans at Turnadağ in 1515, after which the principality came under Ottoman control.
