Alexander Jagiellon
Alexander Jagiellon was grand duke of Lithuania from 1492 and king of Poland from 1501 until his death in 1506, a son of Casimir IV. He married Helena, daughter of Ivan III of Moscow, but could not prevent Muscovite conquests, including the defeat at Vedrosha in 1500. In 1505 he accepted the Nihil novi constitution, which strengthened the Polish parliament.
