Alhucemas landing
The Alhucemas landing was an amphibious assault by Spanish forces, supported by France, on the bay of Alhucemas (Al Hoceima) in northern Morocco in September 1925. Landing close to Abd el-Krim's base at Ajdir, the troops broke the Rifian resistance, and the Republic of the Rif surrendered in 1926. It is often regarded as the first modern combined air, sea and land landing.
