Ali ibn Hatim

Ali ibn Hatim was the last ruler of the Hamdanid sultanate of Sanaa, an Isma'ili tribal dynasty of 12th-century Yemen. When the Ayyubid prince Turan-Shah invaded Yemen in 1174, he fled to the mountains, and by the 1180s Sanaa had passed to Ayyubid rule, ending Isma'ili political power in Yemen.
