Ali Iqbal al-Dawla
Ali Iqbal al-Dawla was the ruler of the Taifa of Dénia from 1044 to 1076, son and successor of its founder Mujahid al-Amiri. Captured as a boy during his father's Sardinian expedition of 1015–1016, he was held for years by the Christians before returning. He ruled a maritime state that included the Balearic Islands and kept close ties with Fatimid Egypt, until al-Muqtadir of Zaragoza deposed him and annexed Dénia in 1076.
