American Revolution
The American Revolution was the rebellion of thirteen British colonies in North America, which declared independence in 1776 and won it in the war that ended with the Treaty of Paris in 1783. Most Iroquois nations sided with Britain and lost their lands, while tens of thousands of Loyalists moved north, leading to new colonies such as Upper Canada and Cape Breton.
